Hi guys! It may sound like a dummy question, but why can I only see my desktop wallpaper when I connect to my Mac over V3? Am I missing any settings?
It sounds like your device was detected/selected as an “extended” monitor rather than a “mirror” for the primary output. You will need to go into the Displays settings on your Mac and choose mirroring to see the same thing on the PiKVM as you see on the MacOS screen. With the PiKVM attached to the HDMI you should be able to close the Mac and have the PiKVM be the primary/only screen automatically without changing settings (usually).
