Hi All, Newbie here with what I thought was a simple Q. I’m looking for a hardware level device(s) that will take my KB / Mouse input and broadcast it to 2-4 other of my own PCs. Not a triditional KVM - real time broadcasting. 1 to 1. I teach and do tutorials and it is SO much more simple when I can use my device and have it show up in front of my kido’s on their screen all at once. But I also want to use my PC for gaming, when I can. Software solutions have been flagging anti cheat. Figured I would ask about a device that could do it. Cheaper than building a separate gaming PC these days. Any ideas?
That type of device is often used for managing multiple computers simultaneously in MMO and other games, which might be why things get flagged because software versions are easier to detect than hardware solutions.
You could potentially use a script to write the same text to multiple PiKVM devices at approximately the same time or to run a set of macros to open a browser > navigate to a url > find something on the page.
You can find a lot of this type of synchronizer on Amazon, though how effective they are can really depend on the software you have to deal with.
There are some software solutions combined with PiKVM that can do cool stuff, but they tend to be targeted at enterprise use cases and not average end users.
