Pikvm switch extender (#5) failing to control mouse/keyboard on hosts

I’ve got a pikvm V4 plus, pikvm switches. Everything is working fine on switches 1-4, but switch 5 I cannot seem to get control via keyboard mouse. I’ve tried original short usb c cables, no luck. When i plug into the switch I see my green “USB” status of the port go to green, but the top right mouse/keyboard always stays orange for switch #5. I’ve updated, reflashed the switches with no luck. I’ was thinking it was an otg cable issue, but using the shorties included with the units I still have some issue’s. How do i further test what’s going on here?

What are the target devices connected to the 5th switch?

There was some discussion in Discord about Apple Silicon Mac targets not working well on the 5th switch tier due to some limitations in their USB implementations that remove an entire tier of USB connectivity.
