We have two PiKVM V4 Mini units. They originally received their IP address by DHCP, but we changed them to static IPs so they are always reachable at the same address. The first one is at 192.168.80.50 and the second one will be at 192.168.80.51. We open the web interface using the IP address directly (for example, https://192.168.80.50), both from Windows PCs.
When we open the web interface, the browser shows the “Not secure” warning. Our goal is for the site to be seen as secure from the Beckhoff PC, without warnings.
I exported the PiKVM certificate and installed it as a trusted certificate on my Windows PC. The warning did not go away. When I inspect the certificate, it shows “localhost” as its name instead of the IP address we use to connect (I don’t know if this part is important or not).
What is the correct way to make the browser trust the PiKVM web interface when it is accessed by its static IP address? Is there a supported procedure, or a setting I may be missing?
Thanks for your help!!
